Forest Green Rovers' participation in the Checkatrade Trophy hangs by a thread after they were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal last night at The New Lawn.
The game was effectively decided in 90 seconds at the end of the first-half as Joe Willock scored twice for Freddie Ljungberg's side. Substitute Dayle Grubb pulled one back on the hour but Tyreece John-Jules made the game safe with five minutes remaining.
Defeat leaves Theo and Forest Green on four points after three games. Anything other than a a draw between Cheltenham Town and Coventry City next week will see The Green Devils eliminated.
Theo was the only Brentford player in action this midweek but it looks set to be a busy weekend of FA Cup action for our loanees over the next few days.
Forest Green travel to Oldham Athletic while Bristol Rovers visit Barnet, Exeter City host Blackpool, Cheltenham Town head to Kent to take on Ebbsfleet United, and Boreham Wood make the long journey up to Southport.
