James Linington to take charge of Saturday's West London derby

Match Officials confirmed for game against QPR

7 November 2018

Referee: James Linington

Assistant Referees: Dean Treleaven and Robert Hyde

Fourth Official: Andy Davies

This is James' first Bees assignment of the season, having taken charge of us four winless times last campaign. The Isle of Wight official was the man in the middle for our Sky Bet Championship games against Nottingham Forest, Cardiff City, and Hull City, as well as our Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Norwich City, all of those at Griffin Park.

Now in his 11th season as an EFL referee, James' first two Brentford games were both 1-1 draws at Griffin Park, against Lincoln City and Darlington, during Andy Scott's 2008/09 League Two winning season. In total, he has taken charge of 15 Bees games, with Brentford winning three and drawing three.

So far this campaign, James has shown 27 yellow cards in nine games and awarded four penalties, two of which came during his last Championship assignment between Millwall and Wigan Athletic at The Den.

QPR 2018/19

250 fouls – 1st in Championship

24 yellow cards – 16th in Championship

0 red cards – 18th in Championship
