Ryan Woods was crowned the 2017/18 Brentford FC Supporters’ Player of the Year last weekend. The award was presented by Bees Head Coach Dean Smith at the Player of the Year Awards Dinner, held at The Clayton Hotel, Chiswick, last Sunday. The 24-year-old midfielder took 43 per cent of the votes, ahead of Romaine Sawyers in second with Daniel Bentley back in third.
Ryan made 40 appearances at the heart of the Brentford midfield this season as Dean Smith’s side recorded a fourth consecutive top ten finish in the second tier. Ryan netted the clinching goal in our 3-1 win over Leeds United in December, his only goal of the season, and also contributed three assists.
