Referee: James Linington
Assistant Referees: Mark Russell and Robert Hyde
Fourth Official: Graham Horwood
This is James' fourth Bees assignment of the season, with the previous three all ending in defeats at home. The Isle of Wight official was in charge of our 4-3 league loss to Nottingham Forest and our Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Norwich City before Christmas, with his most recent Bees outing last month's 3-1 reverse at the hands of Cardiff City.
Now in his tenth season as an EFL referee, James' first two Brentford games were both 1-1 draws at Griffin Park, against Lincoln City and Darlington, during Andy Scott's 2008/09 League Two winning season. In total, he has taken charge of 14 Bees games, with Brentford winning three and drawing two.
So far this campaign, James has shown 140 yellow cards and five reds in 39 games, as well as awarding nine penalties, two of which came in the game against The Canaries in October.
