Justin Shaibu wasn’t involved last night as Walsall secured their Sky Bet League One safety with a 1-1 draw at Bradford City.

Erhun Oztumer’s 17th goal of the season gave the visitors a 23rd-minute lead but Matty Lund equalised with a header in first-half injury time. The home side had the better of the second-half but Dean Keates’ Saddlers dug in to move four points clear of the relegation zone, with just Saturday’s trip to Fleetwood Town remaining.

This weekend will also see Jack Bonham and Ilias Chatzitheodoridis play their final games for Carlisle United and Cheltenham Town respectively. The Cumbrians host Newport County in Keith Curle’s last game as manager while The Robins head to Crewe Alexandra.

In Germany, Sunday sees Konstantin Kerschbaumer and DSC Arminia Bielefeld visit mid-table St Pauli for their penultimate 2.Bundesliga fixture, looking to take the promotion race into the final weekend. DSC are five points behind Holstein Kiel, who travel to league leaders Fortuna Dusseldorf on Sunday, with two games left to play.
