Woods claims 2017/18 Junior Fans Player of the Year

Midfield man gets the vote of young supporters

9 May 2018

Once again young Bees fans were invited to vote for their Player of the Year with one Junior Season Ticket Holder or Club Member winning the chance to present the trophy on the pitch before our Season Finale against Hull City. Bradley Curl was the lucky supporter and he presented Ryan Woods with the award on Sunday. The 24-year-old midfielder took 36 per cent of the vote, ahead of Daniel Bentley in second with Ollie Watkins in third.

It was the start of a great day for the former Shrewsbury man. He claimed the Bees Travel Club Away Player of the Year prize and Supporters’ Player of the Year at the Club's Player of the Year Awards dinner later that evening. Ryan made 40 appearances at the heart of the Brentford midfield this season as Dean Smith’s side recorded a fourth consecutive top ten finish in the second tier. He also netted the clinching goal in our 3-1 win over Leeds United in November.

As well these amazing opportunities, our Junior Season Tickets (for supporters under 18 years old) include a place at our 23 Championship games at Griffin Park and a free exclusive t-shirt. All of this from only £49. Until tomorrow at 10am, 2017/18 Season Ticket Holders and Club Members are having an exclusive access to the seats which haven’t been renewed. All available seats will then be on General Sale so don’t forget to buy your 2018/19 Season Tickets here before our Early Bird Deadline on Thursday 31 May.
