Brentford B defender Jarvis Edobor has been handed a one-year contract extension at Griffin Park. The 18-year-old signed the new deal today, Friday 11 May, which will see him stay with The Bees until at least the summer 2019.
Jarvis signed for Brentford at the end of the 2015/16 campaign but only turned full-time in the summer of 2017 after studying for his A Levels. The powerful centre-half has made a total of 69 appearances for Kevin O'Connor's side, including 38 this term, and has scored three goals.
B Team Head Coach Kevin O’Connor said: “I’m glad Jarvis has extended his contract with us into next season. His new deal is a testament to his attitude and hard work during this campaign. His improvement on the training pitch and during games has shown myself and all the staff here that he is willing to work on all aspects of his game to become an all-round better defender and footballer.
“Last year was his first year away from the classroom and he used the extra time we had with him to great effect. This year we will continue to work with him after the summer break and hope that he can impress us and take any opportunities that may arise in the next 12 months.”
