Yoann Barbet’s strike against Bolton Wanderers back in September has been voted the 2017/18 Brentford FC Goal of the Season, presented by Simplexity Travel Management.
The Frenchman’s strike at The Macron Stadium picked up 38 per cent of the vote, ahead of Nico Yennaris’s goal from the same game in second, and Ryan Woods' effort against Leeds United in third.
It was a good evening for Yoann at the Player of the Year Award’s Dinner, held at The Clayton Hotel, Chiswick, as he also walked away with the Hottie of the Year prize.
The 24-year-old made 37 appearances this term for The Bees, netting three goals. As well as his strike against Wanderers he also found the net in the 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough and the 3-1 home win over Leeds United.
In total, Yoann has scored six goals in 80 appearances since joining The Bees from Chamois Niortais in the summer of 2015.
