Sketches being produced of building work

We’ve been underway on the construction of Brentford Community Stadium for almost two months now and are making good progress on the piling work on site to prepare the foundations. Well over half of the 611 stadium piles are now in place. The construction of the steel frame is due to start next month at which point fans will start to see the stadium rise up from the ground.

This sketch of work on site is by Brentford fan John Webb, a member of London Urban Sketchers, who has taken on the role of regularly visiting the site to fill his sketchbook as the work progresses. John is a retired architect so he knows all about construction sites and is enjoying donning his hard hat and protective clothing again and getting onto the site to capture the stadium taking shape.
