On Tuesday 1 May, Brentford B lost a narrow game up in Manchester, despite going in at half-time two goals behind. Marcus Forss got a brace to send The Bees on the way to a comeback, Bradley Clayton also scored a penalty as O'Connor's boys fought back hard. In the end, it wasn't enough as late chances saw Theo Archibald and Joe Hardy go close but they couldn't level the game.
