Jeremy Simpson in charge for Good Friday clash

Match Officials confirmed for Easter visit from Sheffield United

28 March 2018

Referee: Jeremy Simpson

Assistant RefereesMichael George and Darren Blunden

Lancashire-based referee Jeremy Simpson will take charge of Friday's Easter game against The Blades.

He has been given seven previous Brentford matches, starting with our dramatic 3-2 win at home to Portsmouth in April 2013. After officiating defeats against Middlesbrough and Derby County during the 2015/16 season, the drama returned last season as he refereed our 1-1 draw at Aston Villa and our six-goal thriller at Griffin Park against Brighton and Hove Albion. This season, he has taken charge of our 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday and December's 2-1 victory over Norwich City.

So far this season, Simpson has shown 144 yellow cards, and six red cards, in 35 competitive fixtures.
