The experienced Wiltshire referee, who tried to make it as a professional footballer in his youth, has been a in charge of EFL matches since 2008. 

During that time he has taken charge of 17 Brentford games in three divisions. He was the man in charge for our unforgettable 4-1 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage in April 2015 and also refereed our 1-0 win at home to QPR six months later. 

Most recently he was in charge of our 1-1 draw against Preston North End last month, taking our tally in games he has officiated to five wins, three draws, and nine defeats. 

This season, Mr Hooper has shown 109 yellow cards and four reds in 34 matches, five of those bookings, and one red, coming in our meeting with Preston a little over a month ago.
