Brentford B defenders Mads Bech Sørensen and Lukas Talbro have been called up for international duty. The pair will be part of the Denmark Under-19 squad for three vital games later this month. The trio of matches will determine if Denmark earn a place UEFA European Under-19 Championships, which will be held in Finland in the summer.
Mads and Lukas will link up with the squad on Saturday 17 March for the games against Austria, Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Denmark topped a four-team group including Latvia, San Marino and Croatia in the first round of qualifying matches in November. They host this final stage of qualification which will see the four teams play each other and the winner of the group will reach the finals.
Denmark will play Bosnia and Herzegovina in their first match on Wednesday 21 March. They will then face Turkey three days later before concluding the group with a match against Austria on Tuesday 27 March. The Brentford B pair will return to West London after that third game, knowing if they have a summer tournament to look forward to.
Mads has been a mainstay for his national team and has played for Denmark at Under-18 and Under-19 level. He has played nine games at Under-19 level and has 16 caps for his country in total. He captained the side in their last outing, a friendly defeat against Scotland. Lukas has five Under-19 caps and has also played for his country at Under-18 and Under-16 level.
