Mokotjo and Sawyers in action around the globe

South Africa win Four Nations as St Kitts lose to Dominican Republic

26 March 2018

Kamohelo Mokotjo and Romaine Sawyers were in action for their nations at the weekend. Mokotjo was part of the South Africa side that won the Four Nations, while Sawyers took part in a 2-1 friendly defeat with Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Mokotjo's Bafana Bafana beat Zambia 2-0 in the final of the Four Nations friendly tournament on their opposition's home soil. Mokotjo had missed the semi-final win over Angola that went all the way to penalties, but goals from Percy Tau and Lebo Mothiba ensured his return to the side was a successful one.

Elsewhere, Sawyers played 84 minutes for his Caribbean side against Dominican Republic. The home side, who have now won four games in a row, scored two second half goals either side of an equaliser from Yohannes Mitchum. Luis Espinal and Wilman Modesta scored for The Republic, the second coming seven minutes from time.

Chris Mepham is in action today (Monday 26 March) with his Wales side in the China Cup Final in Asia. Jaakko Oksanen and Marcus Forss also have a match with Switzerland Under-19 to look forward to this evening.
