Daniel Bentley takes Fanscore Man of the Match prize

Goalkeeper scoops award with Fuller's after defeat to Cardiff City

14 March 2018

Brentford goalkeeper Daniel Bentley was the winner of last night's Fanscore Man of the Match poll in association with Fuller's.

Despite conceding three in the defeat to Cardiff City, Dan made a number of crucial saves as The Bees went toe-to-toe with the second tier's form side. After Neal Maupay's early goal, The Bluebirds levelled thanks to a fabulous Sol Bamba strike midway through the first-half. Callum Paterson fired Neil Warnock's side ahead just before the break before Kenneth Zohore made the points safe just after the restart.

Dan's performance saw him pick up 42 per cent of the vote, ahead of goalscorer Maupay in second, and Chris Mepham back in third.

Last month saw the launch of an all-new predictor game on the Official Brentford FC club app. The new predictor, which can be accessed from the club app, asks fans to pick the result from all Sky Bet Championship games played over the weekend with points on offer for correct scores.
