Brentford B will be playing one of their prestige fixtures this week with Manchester United coming to town. Kevin O’Connor’s side will face an Under-23 side from the Manchester giants at Griffin Park on Tuesday, 20 March, as they look to continue their winning run. Full details on the match will follow shortly but fans are welcome to the fixture, which is scheduled to kick-off at Griffin Park at 1pm.
Brentford B have won their last three full fixtures and have not lost for more than a month. They beat a Glasgow Rangers side away from home last week to add to a thrilling 5-4 win over Barnet and a recent victory over Shamrock Rovers. In the midst of those fixtures, Kevin O’Connor’s side were 4-0 up against a Swansea City side before snow forced the game to be abandoned and had a training game win over Kelty Hearts.
The last defeat suffered by Brentford B was against Dundalk on a trip to Ireland in early February. That loss was one of only two suffered by Kevin O’Connor’s side in their last ten games. They won one and lost one in a double-header against Reading in January after kicking off the year with a 3-3 draw against an Exeter City XI. Brentford B have now won 19 and lost only nine of their 32 games so far this term.
The 2017/18 fixture list has including wins against sides including Benfica B, Chelsea, Everton and Legia Warsaw as well as Italian giants Internazionale Milano and Associazone Calcio Milan. And there are more big games coming up. Fixtures have been arranged against Manchester City and a Chelsea side, as well as fellow Premier League outfit Huddersfield Town. And Anderlecht will be visiting Griffin Park next month.
A trip to Portugal has been lined up for next month with games in place against Futebol Clube de Porto and Sporting Clube de Braga. More details will follow on all games in due course. All upcoming fixtures are subject to change and can be altered at very late notice. The Club will release final details on all matches closer to the date. Home games will usually be played at the Club’s Jersey Road Training Ground and be open to supporters. A full list of fixtures and results can be seen here.
