B Team try again on Monday

Update on Brentford B fixtures

3 March 2018

Brentford B will hope for better weather when they return to action this week, looking to complete 90 minutes for the first time in three weeks. Kevin O’Connor’s side were only able to complete 45 minutes against a Swansea City side on Tuesday before snow forced the game to be abandoned. With the weather also causing a game against Stevenage to be called off, Brentford B have been without a full game since returning from Ireland. A game against Barnet has been arranged for Monday, 5 March, and full details will follow in due course.

Brentford B were set for a win against Swansea as they led 4-0 at half time but mixed fortunes on their trip to Ireland for their last full fixtures last month. They let a one-goal lead slip to lose to Dundalk before coming from behind to beat Shamrock Rovers a few days later. The Dundalk defeat was one of only two suffered by Kevin O’Connor’s side in their last nine games. They won one and lost one in a double-header against Reading in January after kicking off the year with a 3-3 against an Exeter City XI. Brentford B have now won 17 and lost only nine of their 30 games so far this term.

The 2017/18 fixture list has including wins against sides including Benfica B, Chelsea, Everton and Legia Warsaw as well as Italian giants Internazionale Milano and Associazone Calcio Milan. And there are more big games coming up. Fixtures have been arranged against Manchester City and a Chelsea side, as well as fellow Premier League outfit Huddersfield Town. And the next Griffin Park game has been confirmed with Manchester United visiting on Tuesday 20 March.

A game against Glasgow Rangers will take place later this month and will be immediately followed with a clash against Heart of Midlothian as part of a trip north of the border. The clash with Manchester United comes after that. More details will follow on all games in due course. All upcoming fixtures are subject to change and can be altered at very late notice. The Club will release final details on all matches closer to the date. Home games will usually be played at the Club’s Jersey Road Training Ground and be open to supporters.
