Brentford midfielder Alan Judge has been retained in Martin O'Neill's squad for Friday's friendly in Turkey but Bees defender John Egan has dropped out, after being named in the provisional squad earlier this month.
It is Alan's first call-up since he returned from a serious broken leg sustained just days after he made his international debut in a friendly against Switzerland. He had been around the Ireland squad for most of the 2015/16 season and has also played for his country at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-21 and Under-23 level. Since returning in January, Alan has made ten appearances for Brentford in league and Cup.
Brentford skipper, John Egan, was named in the provisional squad but was one of five players to be released ahead of the trip to Turkey. John has made 26 appearances for The Bees this season and was looking to add to the two caps he has earned for his nation.
Ireland will travel to Antalya for the friendly international on Friday 23 March, kick-off 8.30pm local time. The majority of the squad met up today ahead of their departure for Turkey tomorrow morning. The team will return to Dublin and return to their clubs after the game.
