Konstantin Kerschbaumer will join 2.Bundesliga side FC Ingolstadt 04 for an undisclosed fee when his loan deal with DSC Arminia Bielefeld expires on Thursday 30 June. The 25-year-old has agreed a three year-deal with the Bavarian club, after three years on the books at Griffin Park.
The central midfielder impressed on loan last season with Ingolstadt’s 2.Bundesliga rivals DSC, scoring eight goals, with six assists, in 31 appearances as Bielefeld’s first season back in the second tier ended with a fourth-place finish.
Prior to that the Austrian international had spent two years at Griffin Park, after joining from FC Admira Wacker Mödling in the summer of 2015. During his time with The Bees, Konstantin made 52 appearances in all competition, netting his only goal in a 3-3 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion in February 2017.
