The B Team continued their winning start to the season with a 4-3 win over Everton U23 in the North West and then a 2-0 win at home to Bournemouth U23. The Toffees hosted The Bees at Finch Farm in rainy conditions that saw a dramatic game unfold in front of future Everton interim manager David Unsworth.
It was Theo Archibald that scored first after six minutes before Nathan Broadhead got one back. Then Marcus Forss netted to make it 2-1 and Zain Westbrooke added a third. Everton fought back after 63 minutes to level things via Anton Donker and another from Broadhead. Just when it seemed The Toffees might turn it around, Herson Rodrigues Alves notched one to snatch a win for Brentford B.
The next game was hosted at Griffin Park as local rivals Queens Park Rangers handed the B Team their first defeat of the season. Dan Derbyshire and Romeo Akinola scored as a crowd of 427 watched on from Braemar Road.
Next, the squad was off to Germany on their second full tour of the season. Legia Warsaw and Hertha Berlin gave Kevin O'Connor's squad a real test and the team came away from the games having won the first and lost the second.
Against Warsaw, Brentford went down a goal to nil and had to fight back in the second half. Joe Hardy and Marcus Forss both got on the scoresheet in the second half as The Bees fought back to winning ways.
In the shadow of the Berlin Olympic Stadium, Brentford B also played a Hertha XI. Despite a brace from Hardy and a goal from Forss, the home side had too much for O'Connor's boys.
Finally for September, Luton Town visited Jersey Road and managed to come away with a 4-1 victory. Bradley Clayton netted one for himself but an older Luton team steam rolled the young Bees and a month of up and downs came to an end.
