Southend tie confirmed for 14 August

Bees to start Carabao Cup run on Essex coast - ticket prices also confirmed

2 July 2018

Brentford’s Carabao Cup First Round tie against Southend United will be played on Tuesday 14 August 2018. The two teams were paired together when the draw for the first round of the EFL Cup was made in Vietnam last month. The Bees now know that they will head to the Essex coast on 14 August for a match that will kick-off at 7.45pm.

The game will be Brentford’s third of the season. After kicking off the campaign with a home game against Rotherham United on Saturday 4 August, Brentford head to Stoke City for their first away game on Saturday 11 August. The trip to Southend will follow that. A full fixture list can be seen here.
