The heavy rain that lashed the London area over the weekend put pay to the Brentford Women's fixture list on Sunday afternoon.
Both the first-team game against Clapham United in the Greater London Women's Football League Division One, and the Brentford Development trip to the South East Parakeets in the Sue Sharples Memorial Trophy were called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
It's been a tough winter for the first-team who have now gone nine games without a win in both league and cup. The Bees are currently sixth in the league with ten points from 11 matches and were knocked out of the John Greenacre Memorial Trophy last weekend by high-flying Ashford Town.
Life doesn't get much easier for The Bees with a league trip to Ashford up next Sunday, kick-off 2pm, before a return fixture against The Tangerines and league games against New London Lionnesses, Clapham United, and Hampton and Richmond Borough, who currently occupy first, fourth, and fifth in the table.
It's a completely different story for Brentford Development under Justin Ali and Nathan Mobey who have their sights set on promotion from Division Three North of the Greater London Women's Football League. The Development Team have kept four straight clean sheets and have taken maximum points in all but one of their last eight games in league and cup.
The Bees are just two points off top spot with four games to play and opened their Sue Sharples Memorial Trophy campaign with a win over Actonians' Development last weekend. Next Sunday sees Wandsworth Borough head to Lampton School in the cup, kick-off 2pm, before the re-arranged game against the Parakeets follows a week later.
