LOAN ROUND-UP: BONHAM KEEPS CLEAN SHEET DURING CARLISLE UNITED VICTORY

Jack Bonham’s shutout helps Cumbrians to three points

29 January 2018

Jack Bonham kept a clean sheet as Carlisle United secured a one-goal victory over Forest Green Rovers.

The 24-year-old ‘keeper was untested as the Gloucestershire side failed to register a shot on target. Jamie Devitt’s first-half strike, his fifth of the season, was sufficient to earn the hosts all three points at a blustery Brunton Park.

Ilias Chatzitheodoridis was also in action on Saturday, completing 75 minutes during Cheltenham Town’s 1-1 draw with Barnet. Graham Westley’s side took the lead within two minutes when Ricardo Santos drilled home from a Ryan Watson corner. Mohamed Eisa fired home the equaliser on 65 minutes after the visitors failed to clear a Kevin Dawson cross.

Further afield, Konstantin Kerschbaumer’s DSC Arminia Bielefeld face VfL Bochum this evening with the Bees loanee looking to add to his tally of three goals in his last five appearances.
