Florian Jozefzoon was pleased with his part in Brentford's 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers last weekend. The Dutchman spoke to iFollow shortly after the game to discuss his goal, the team and the rest of the season.
"Yes, it was a good win," said Florian, starting with an evaluation of the match. "If you look at the last five games, we've won four and this was a really good win.
"That's the way we play, we love to play the ball around, keep our composure and just wait for the right moment to attack. I think we can still be better, because at times we were really sloppy. Still, as has been said, we didn't really have a problem."
The 26-year-old scored a goal in the first half, taking the ball in his stride to finish into the top left corner from inside the box. The former Ajax man was pleased to make a strong contribution to the end result.
"I saw the ball bounce from Lasse's feet, I was sharp and didn't think. I should score more but it was a good goal, yes.
"We needed to keep going. The second half of the season has already started and we need to win games, taking it game by game. It doesn't matter what happens, we keep going to get the points. Well done to everyone today; Romaine Sawyers again, Kamohelo Mokotjo, the back four. Everybody was just doing everything for the win."
Bolton provided a different test for Dean Smith's side at Griffin Park, playing a very physical game that put a lot of pressure on The Bees.
"Yeah, they were really big," said Florian. "Like always, I think, the football wins over the physical side every time. That's what we did today.
"At the end of the season we will look at where we are. We just want to take it game by game, every game we just want to take the points and that's why we are fighting like this now."
