Brentford B are preparing for the second half of a double header against Reading as they continue a busy 2018. Kevin O’Connor’s side won the first of two games against the Berkshire side on Sunday. A strong Brentford side, featuring a few First Team players, beat a Reading Under-23 side 9-1. The two teams will meet again tomorrow, Wednesday 24 January, in Berkshire and The Bees will be looking to extend their unbeaten run.
Brentford B came from behind twice to draw 3-3 with an Exeter City XI in their first game of 2018. With the win against Reading, Kevin O’Connor’s side are unbeaten in five. They ended 2017 with a 2-2 draw against Manchester City, conceding two late goals, after wins against Barnet and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Brentford B have now won 16 and lost only seven of their 27 games so far this term.
The 2017/18 fixture list has including wins against sides including Benfica B, Chelsea, Everton and Legia Warsaw as well as Italian giants Internazionale Milano and Associazone Calcio Milan. And there are more big games coming up. Fixtures have been arranged against Manchester City and fellow Premier League sides Swansea City and Huddersfield Town. And the next Griffin Park game has been confirmed with Manchester United visiting on Tuesday 20 March. More details will follow on all games in due course.
After Reading, Bristol Rovers will be in West London next Tuesday, 30 January, before a trip to Ireland for games against Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers set for mid-February. A game against Glasgow Rangers will take place in March and will be immediately followed with a clash against Heart of Midlothian as part of a trip north of the border.
