International call for Romaine

Sawyers selected in St Kitts and Nevis squad

Brentford midfield player Romaine Sawyers has been named in the St Kitts and Nevis squad for an upcoming friendly international. The Caribbean country are playing Dominican Republic on Sunday March 25. Romaine has been called up to the squad for that match, which will be played in the Dominican city of Santiago. He will return to West London ahead of the Easter fixtures against Sheffield United and Bristol City the following weekend.

The game will be St Kitts first match since August. They played two games in three days in India against their hosts and Mauritius and drew them both. Prior to that St Kitts suffered consecutive defeats to Armenia and Georgia last June. Romaine played in those games in Europe and now has 21 international caps, three of which he has earned since joining Brentford from Walsall in the summer of 2016.
