All three of Brentford's domestic loanees were in action on Tuesday night. Here's how they got on.
In League One, Walsall beat Doncaster Rovers 4-2 with Justin Shaibu playing an hour of football from the start. The Danish forward played a key part in The Saddlers' second goal, cutting the ball back for Joe Edwards to score from inside the penalty area. Walsall lept over Doncaster into 15th following their win on Tuesday night and have only played 31 games to Rovers 33.
Carlisle United lost to Notts County in Sky Bet League Two as Jack Bonham conceded two first half goals to striker Jon Stead. United got back in touching distance with just over 10 minutes to go but couldn't find a leveller.
In the same division, Cheltenham Town also lost by a single goal to Lincoln City. Ilias Chatzitheodoridis played the full match as the only goal came from Neal Eardley in first half stoppage time.
The result sees Cheltenham occupy 15th in the table, a full 12 points clear of the drop zone. Just two places, and three points, above them is Carlisle. The two sides next meet on Friday 30 March in a game that will see two Brentford loanees face each other for the first time this season.
On Saturday all three will be back in action in the league at 3pm. The next stop for Walsall is an away trip to mid-table Gillingham, while Carlisle host Chesterfield. Cheltenham play against former Bee Sam Saunders' current side Wycombe Wanderers at Whaddon Road.
