Betting Preview: Sunderland

Bees look to the north for points

16 February 2018

Alan Judge was inches away from netting a stunning last-ditch winner against Preston last Saturday, with the Bees managing a 1-1 draw after back-to-back league defeats.

The Bees went close to the victory last Saturday and we make them 5/4 to go one better and register all three points this weekend against struggling Sunderland. The Black Cats have won only twice at home in the league this season and have conceded eight goals in their last three league outings.

More goals might flow as the Bees fly up to the Stadium of Light on Saturday. Sunderland registered a 3-3 draw against Bristol City last weekend despite trailing 3-0 at the break and if you fancy plenty of goals again this weekend, over 4.5 goals is available at 21/4.

While Dean Smith will be keen to see his team keep their third clean sheet of 2018 (available at 11/5 at LeoVegas SPORT), it is at the other end of the park, where the strikers can flourish against a team with the second worst defensive league record.

Brentford will be looking to show their teeth upfront and Neal Maupay is favoured to score first at 5/1. You can also get Nico Yennaris at 7/1 to score. Both men scored in the 3-3 thriller played out last October at Griffith Park

Judge, looking to make his mark once more on the team following his lengthy injury lay-off, inspired Brentford when he came off the bench last weekend and he is 12/5 to score anytime this weekend.

Leo’s Prediction: Sunderland 1-3 Brentford, yours at 14/1

Outside Punt: Correct score first half: Sunderland 1-0 Brentford at 5/1
