B Team return to action this week

Brentford B begin busy month

18 February 2018

Brentford B return to action this week as they begin another busy period of six games in four weeks. Kevin O’Connor’s side have spent a week in training after returning from their latest overseas trip. They won one and lost one on a short visit to Ireland and now prepare to face Stevenage. The Bees will take on the Hertfordshire side away from home on Tuesday afternoon, full details will follow in due course.

Brentford B had mixed fortunes on their trip to Ireland at the start of the month. They let a one-goal lead slip to lose to Dundalk before coming from behind to beat Shamrock Rovers last Saturday, 10 February. The Dundalk defeat was one of only two suffered by Kevin O’Connor’s side in their last nine games. They won one and lost one in a double-header against Reading in January after kicking off the year with a 3-3 against an Exeter City XI. Brentford B have now won 17 and lost only nine of their 30 games so far this term.

The 2017/18 fixture list has including wins against sides including Benfica B, Chelsea, Everton and Legia Warsaw as well as Italian giants Internazionale Milano and Associazone Calcio Milan. And there are more big games coming up. Fixtures have been arranged against Manchester City and a Chelsea side, as well as fellow Premier League outfits Swansea City and Huddersfield Town. And the next Griffin Park game has been confirmed with Manchester United visiting on Tuesday 20 March.

A game against Glasgow Rangers will take place in March and will be immediately followed with a clash against Heart of Midlothian as part of a trip north of the border. The clash with Manchester United comes after that. More details will follow on all games in due course. All upcoming fixtures are subject to change and can be altered at very late notice. The Club will release final details on all matches closer to the date. Home games will usually be played at the Club’s Jersey Road Training Ground and be open to supporters.
