Referee: Peter Bankes
Assistant Referees: John Flynn and Graham Kane
Fourth Official: Neil Hair
This is Peter Bankes sixth season as an EFL referee, having taken charge of his first game in February 2014.
The Merseyside official has officiated five previous Brentford games, showing 23 yellow cards and four reds. His first Bees game was our 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest in 2016 before he oversaw a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, which saw both sides finish with ten men, and our 5-1 win over Eastleigh during the 2016/17 campaign.
Last season he took charge of our visit from Bristol City, which ended in a 2-2 draw, and February's trip to Derby County where an early red card for Sergi Canos set The Bees en route to a 3-0 defeat in the East Midlands.
So far this season, Bankes has taken charge of six matches, showing 18 yellow cards in the process.
