Following on from his impressive showing at this summer's FIFA World Cup, Henrik Dalsgaard has been named in Denmark's 21-man squad for games against Slovakia and Wales next month.
Åge Hereide's side head to Trnava to take on Slovakia in a friendly on Wednesday 5 September, kick-off 8.45pm local time, before beginning their Nations League Group B4 campaign at home to Wales the following Sunday, 9 September, kick-off 6pm local time.
Henrik played every minute in Russia, in the process becoming the first contracted Bee to appear at a World Cup finals, as The Danes bowed out to eventual runners-up Croatia on penalties in the Last 16. His four appearances over the summer took his international cap tally to 15.
The new Nations League concept sees all 55 UEFA member nations divided into four leagues, based on their World ranking, and then divided again into four groups within each league. There's promotion and relegation within each league, as well as an overall Nations League trophy finals next Summer. Countries can also qualify for the 2020 European Championships via the Nations League.
Group B4 could have a decidedly Brentford feel about it with the Republic of Ireland completing the trio which includes Denmark and Wales, leaving the door open for Alan Judge, Chris Mepham, and Henrik to come up against each other.
