Referee: Jon Moss
Assistant Referees: Harry Lennard and Andrew Halliday
Fourth Official: David Coote
A keen footballer in his youth, which included spells with hometown club Sunderland and Millwall, Jon Moss took up refereeing at the turn of the millenium, taking just three years to make it onto the National List of Assistant Referees.
After taking charge of the 2005 Conference Play-Off final, he was promoted to the National List of referees for the following season. Moss has been a top flight referee since 2011 and officiated the 2015 FA Cup final between Arsenal and Wednesday's opponents Aston Villa.
Moss's first Brentford assignment came in 2006 as he sent Clark Masters off during a 2-2 draw at home to Gillingham. He was also the man in charge of our FA Cup Fourth Round draw at Griffin Park against Chelsea in 2013, awarding a second-half penalty to The Bees for a foul on Tom Adeyemi. Last season, his only encounter with The Bees saw Dean Smith's side run out 2-0 winners over Birmingham City at St Andrews. In total, we have won four and drawn two of his eight games in charge.
This season, Moss was given the Community Shield Final between Chelsea and Manchester City before taking charge of Watford's victory over Brighton and Hove Albion on the opening day of the Premier League season.
