Secure your places for our game against Hull City when we will donate £1 to Brentford FC Community Sports Trust for every ticket you buy

23 April 2018

Our final Sky Bet Championship fixture is approaching and, following our great result over the weekend, this match could be a decider for The Bees as we are still in the chase for the top six. Next week’s game on Sunday 6 May will be an occasion to raise funds to sustain and grow The Trust’s health, community, education and disability projects. For this game, we will donate £1 to The Trust for every match ticket sold. With this in mind, we thought we would showcase some of their key projects.

Ali Umar was struggling as a young carer for his family when he joined the Trust’s Young Carers project. He explained: “As a young carer, I take care of my younger siblings and think of them before I think of myself. In practical terms, I take them to school, make food for them and look after them. Basically, I’ve had to grow up a lot faster, because I have to think like a grown-up.”

Through the power of sport, our Trust’s Young Carers programme supports young carers with one-to-one mentoring and a wide range of activities, including: after-school homework clubs; fortnightly youth clubs; fortnightly swimming clubs; and holiday and day trips. Fast-forward seven years and Ali is now a volunteer for the Young Carers project, supporting other young carers.

Help teenagers like Ali get much-needed respite by watching our last game of the season at Griffin Park. Simply book your tickets online now.
