Brentford B go in to the final ten days of their season with just two games left to play, a prestigious double header against Premier League champions Manchester City. Kevin O’Connor’s side will be looking to end their campaign on a high against The Citizens, who they face home and away before the end of term. The Bees will head up north this week for a game on Tuesday, 1 May, and will then host City next week in the last game of the season.
The final game of term will be one of Brentford B’s prestige fixtures as the next generation of Bees players turn out at Griffin Park. Th Bees will host City on Tuesday May 8 in a game that will kick-off at 7pm under the Griffin Park floodlights. Entry will be free and fans are encouraged to turn up and watch the final game in TW8 before the summer break. Prior to that, Kevin O’Connor will take his team to Manchester as they look to continue their fine run of form.
Brentford B have won eight of their last nine full fixtures and have lost just two games in three months. There have been some notable recent scalps with wins over a Manchester United side and a team from Chelsea. Those wins were added to with victories over Futebol Clube de Porto in Brentford B’s last match and one over Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht at Griffin Park last month. Brentford B have now won 24 and lost only ten of their 38 games so far this term.
The 2017/18 fixture list has also including wins against sides including Benfica B, Everton and Legia Warsaw as well as Italian giants Internazionale Milano and Associazone Calcio Milan. All upcoming fixtures are subject to change and can be altered at very late notice. The Club will release final details on all matches closer to the date.
