Lancashire-based referee Jeremy Simpson will take charge of tomorrow's trip to Hillsborough as he begins his sixth season in the EFL.

He has been given five previous Brentford matches, starting with our dramatic 3-2 win at home to Portsmouth in April 2013. After officiating defeats against Middlesbrough and Derby County during the 2015/16 season, the drama returned last season as he refereed our 1-1 draw at Aston Villa and our six-goal thriller at Griffin Park against Brighton and Hove Albion.

So far this season, Simpson has shown 20 yellow cards in six competitive fixtures.
