20 September 2017

The Club can announce today that there is a new addition to the Brentford Football Club Board of Directors. Monique Choudhuri has joined the Board following approval from the EFL. Monique is the Managing Director of Career Path Training and Consultancy, and has acted as a consultant to the Club for the past two years assisting with staff coaching, training and cultural development.

Monique specialises in the provision of strategy, leadership, cultural engagement and performance management solutions and skills. She has more than 25 years of experience in this field and has worked across a range of industries. Some of her clients include British Airways, BSkyB, and Ferrovial Agroman, as well as Smartodds - a company owned by Brentford Owner Matthew Benham. Monique brings experience of being a non-executive director at the highly successful talent and recruitment solutions consultancy, Advance Training and Recruitment Services; the same role she will hold at Brentford.

Monique said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Board, and continuing my relationship with Brentford Football Club. I look forward to assisting them strategically in developing an exemplary Club culture, fostering strong leadership and building great talent.”

Cliff Crown, Brentford FC Chairman, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Monique Choudhuri to the board of Brentford Football Club as a non-executive director. I have known Monique for many years, and introduced her to Smartodds and Brentford with whom she has worked for five and two years respectively and believe her business acumen and professional skills, specialist knowledge and insight will be invaluable to the Board.”

Mark Devlin, Brentford FC Chief Executive, added: "I am delighted that Monique accepted our invitation to join the Board of BFC. For the last two years, I have worked closely with Monique in relation to developing our staff culture and how this is communicated through to our leadership group, managers and front line staff. It is great to have her on board."
