Zain Westbrooke had an interesting full debut for Vanarama National side Solihull Moors last night as he set up one of their goals before getting sent off late on.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Midlands' outfit on Friday, came into the starting XI for last night's home game against fellow strugglers Chester. He played a key part in Moors' opener as he fed Oladapo Afolayan to fire home from 18 yards. Zain's night ended on a sour note with 16 minutes to play as he received a straight red card for a challenge on Wade Joyce. Despite their man disadvantage, Afolayan was on hand to wrap up the win which moves Solihull up to 22nd three minutes later.
Zain is likely to miss Moors' next three matches but there will be plenty of other Bees in loan action this weekend. In Sky Bet League One, Tom Field heads to table-topping Peterborough United with Bradford City while in League Two Jack Bonham and Carlisle United travel to Accrington Stanley while Reece Cole's Newport County welcome Wycombe Wanderers. In Germany, Konstantin Kerschbaumer and DSC Arminia Bielefeld host MSV Duisburg with league-leaders FC Nordsjaelland, and Emiliano Marcondes, travelling to Horsens in the Danish Superliga on Friday night.
