Kamohelo Motokjo has been called up to the South Africa squad for next month’s World Cup Qualifier against Burkina Faso. The Brentford midfielder is part of Stuart Baxter’s 25-man squad for the match at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, October 7.
Bafana Bafana are currently bottom of Group D of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup with one point from three games. Their cause hasn't been helped after last November's qualifying win over Senegal was scrubbed out due to concerns over the integrity of the match referee. Stuart Baxter's side will need to win their remaining three games to have any hope of heading to Russia next summer.
Kamohelo has seven caps for his nation, the most recent of which came last month's 2-1 qualifying defeat in Cape Verde. He is the only British based player included in the group which features players from South Africa, Holland, Turkey, France, Egypt, and Portugal.
