B Team goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe has been included in the England Under-19 squad for upcoming matches against Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The young stopper has made Paul Simpson's 22-man squad for the two away games that get underway at the beginning of October. The Young Lions get their first test at the home of SC Znojmo on Friday 6 October, before they move on to NTC Senec for the match with Slovakia on Monday 9 October.
Ellery is one of a trio of keepers based in England to receive the call, alongside Bolton Wanderers' Jake Turner and Ryan Schofield of Huddersfield Town. The 17-year-old made his debut for the England Under-18s last season, and so far this campaign he has been first choice between the sticks in Kevin O'Connor's B squad.
