Ollie Watkins Fans' Man of the Match from Villa draw

Attacker picks up prize after Saturday's stalemate

10 September 2017

Ollie Watkins picked up another Fanscore Man of the Match award on Saturday, in association with Fullers, after our goalless draw against Aston Villa.

The attacker was a constant thorn in Villa's side, drawing two fabulous saves from Sam Johnstone in the second-half as The Bees pressed for the three points. For that performance, Ollie received more than 31 per cent of the vote, ahead of Ryan Woods in second and Daniel Bentley in third.

The star performer amongst the Fanscore players on Saturday was cottreld1 who racked up an impressive 393 points after correctly predicting the 0-0 draw to finish 177 points clear of Mark Baker in second, and Bees4Life in third.

This weekend's performance moved cottreld1 up into the top ten of the overall league table. Jack Anderson still leads the overall table but Henry Ivey and Mark Allerton continue to chip away at his lead which is now down to just 102 points.

FanScore allows fans to play against friends and family in mini-leagues on our Smartphone app with points awarded for predicting the half-time and full-time match scores, plus the first goal scorer and time, and the Man of the Match.
