A string of fine saves, none better than his late stop to deny Lee Gregory from the penalty spot, saw Bees goalkeeper Daniel Bentley romp to the Fanscore Man of the Match award with Fullers after Saturday's 1-0 win over Millwall.
The goalkeeper picked up 73 per cent of the votes with goalscorer Romaine Sawyers in second and Ryan Woods back in third. The Bees dominated the opening hour and took a deserved lead just after the break as Sawyers slammed home from the edge of the box.
However, The Lions, winless away from home, poured forward in the second-half but could not find a way past The Bees backline. They had a golden chance to level inside the closing ten minutes as Jed Wallace was felled in the box but Bentley guessed correctly to beat away Gregory's tame penalty.
Samg877 registered the highest score in this week's fans league with 293 points. Sam was one of five Fanscore users to correct predict Romaine Sawyers as the first goalscorer and he also correctly predicted the 0-0 half-time score and that Dean Smith's side would take the three points. Lance Foyster was 28 points back in second with the overall leader Mark Allerton in third.
Mark's third place finish saw him pass the 2,500 point mark and open up a 340 points lead at the head of the season-long league. Henry Ivey remains in second with Jack Anderson back in third.
