It's been a stellar week for Ollie Watkins as his three goals helped The Bees take five points from trips to Bolton Wanderers and Middlesbrough, plus a home game against Derby County, and the attackers form this week has also seen him wrap up a clean sweep of Fanscore Man of the Match awards, in association with Fullers.
His latest outing at The Riverside Stadium on Saturday saw him score one and set one up as The Bees took a thoroughly deserved point back from their long trip to the North East. It was the 21-year-old's free-kick which Yoann Barbet headed home to give The Bees a first-half advantage and he was on target for the fifth time this season late on to put Dean Smith's side back in front. Although Fabio equalised moments later to deny The Bees all three points it was another encouraging performance from the men in red and white.
Having lost our last nine against The Teesiders, Fanscore users headed into the game with little optimism with the majority going for a Middlesbrough win at both half-time and full-time. That made for a low-scoring week, with the exception of R1chard who scored a mammoth 539 points to steal the monthly title from long-time leader Ross Bone. R1chard predicted the correct half-time score and full-time outcome and was within ten seconds of the Golden Goal time of 28:04.
There's little change at the head of the season-long league as Mark Allerton still retains a 238 lead over Henry Ivey in second with Jack Anderson a further 40 points back in third. It is getting congested at the top of the table, however, with only 95 points separating third and tenth.
