With the international break in full swing, only two Bees were in action over the weekend in the EFL.
Jack Bonham played the full 90 minutes as Carlisle United suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Exeter City. How only one goal was scored is anyone's guess as both sides created chances at will. Jack made a fine early save to deny Lee Holmes but there was nothing he could do to prevent The Grecians taking an early second-half lead, Pierce Sweeney out-muscling his man to head home from close range. After that the Exeter goal led a charmed life but Paul Tisdale' side hung on to move back top of Sky Bet League Two. Saturday's appearance was Jack's tenth of his loan spell at Brunton Park, which has seen him keep two clean sheets.
In League One, Tom Field was an unused substitute as Bradford City beat ten-man MK Dons 4-1 at Stadium:MK. Aaron Tshibola was shown a straight red card inside five minutes for a professional foul on Jake Reeves and The Bantams quickly capitalised. Romain Vincelot and Charlie Wyke had City 2-0 up inside 20 minutes and, although an Ethan Ebanks-Landell goal halved the arrears after the break, Wyke and Paul Taylor netted late on to secure a sixth win in eight for Stuart McCall's side.
