Joe Hardy was delighted after netting three goals at Manchester City last week. He spoke to iFollow after the match to talk about the game and life in the B Te
"It's good to get a hat-trick," Joe smiled. "They're my former club so it's good to come back and score against them. That's what I wanted when I came to Brentford, I knew they would play us a few times and it's good to score.
"I'd says I was a bit more fired up today. Some days you just want to score more and this is a special one to come here and get three."
Kevin O'Connor's side put five goals beyond The Cityzens on an afternoon at the Etihad Campus that turned out to be quite comfortable compared to recent trips.
"It didn't feel comfortable," said Joe. "I think it is just how the game went. They scored early on and we got one straight back, that really helped. We got momentum from there, showed our quality and scored a lot of goals.
"In training [Bradley and I] work together a lot and it just came together today."
With a trip to Italy in the near future, Joe rated the importance of such excursions for himself and the team.
"It's always important to play teams like City, also the Milan teams coming up. It will be good to play them because we want to challenge ourselves and that's the only way we're going to get better.
"It's been a really good experience so far, I'm settling in well. I'm getting going and I'm scoring goals, that's what I want to do."
