Jarvis Edobor was impressed by what he saw on a trip to the San Siro on Sunday. The centre-back also stopped to talk about the upcoming Inter Milan game and how the Italy tour has been a good experience for him.
"It's definitely been good," said Jarvis, talking to iFollow after training on Monday. "Italy is a lovely country. It's been sunny out here, some days are a bit cold, and the games have been good as well.
"It was good to get a win against AC Milan, and we could have won the game at Atalanta. It's been a good trip so far."
Having played in every minute of the both games played thus far, Jarvis comented on the reaction he felt from both games and how the team responded to the different results.
"It was a bit weird," said Jarvis. "We were really happy with our performance against Atalanta, where we didn't win but we really should have. We felt really good about that.
"Then we won 4-3 against AC Milan but were a bit hard on ourselves. We felt we should have been winning that game by a bit more and that seems like a good attitude to have against big teams. I think it's been a good experience and both games were good in their own right."
While away on tour, the players find themselves with a lot of spare time and Jarvis thinks he has a good way to relieve the stress of a game.
"You could jump into the freezing cold [outdoor] pool," he smiled. "I don't mind the free time to be honest. We get a lot of time to recover after the games so it's important to relax and it's been really good out here."
Jarvis also added his thoughts on the trip to the San Siro on Sunday, where Brentford B's players and staff took in the Serie A fixture between AC Milan and Genoa.
"It was a good experience, the whole aura and atmosphere there is crazy. When you think about how many seats there are in that stadium, it's just a whole different level. The game was alright, a nil-nil draw. It would have been nice to see some goals at the San Siro but it was still a great experience.
"There are players that you look at a bit more, the ones that stand out. I remember talking to [B Team Analyst] Ben [Chadwick] about Cristian Zapata who played in that game. It's really good to watch what they do and that's where we are trying to be so it's good to get a look at them."
Tomorrow (Wednesday), Brentford B play Inter Milan. Jarvis is expecting the team to go into the fixture with a positive attitude.
"We have to," he said. "We have come out here, got a draw and a win, so hopefully we can finish off with a win and go back to England happy."
