Florian Jozefzoon's goal and two assists have seen him selected in the EFL Team of the Week after Brentford's 3-3 draw at home to Sunderland on Saturday.
The winger saw his early shot hit a post and rebound into the path of Nico Yennaris to put The Bees ahead on Saturday. However, The Black Cats hit back to lead 3-1 at the interval as Lewis Grabban scored twice either side of a Daniel Bentley own-goal. Florian made it 3-2 with a stunning free-kick straight after the re-start and he helped complete Brentford's comeback as his shot deflected in off Neal Maupay to rescue a point late on.
The EFL Team of the Week, published on the EFL website, is drawn from the performances over the previous weekend's action across all Sky Bet EFL divisions. Florian is the fourth Brentford player to be recognised this season: Josh Clarke's performance in our 4-1 Carabao Cup win over QPR saw him included while Yoann Barbet's performance against Bolton Wanderers also earned him a nomination. Last weekend saw Daniel Bentley included after his clean sheet heroics in the 1-0 win over Millwall at Griffin Park.
There were further plaudits for Florian as he was included in the WhoScored.com Sky Bet Championship Team of the Weekend after receiving a 8.4 rating out of ten.
