After scoring for the fourth straight away game, Ollie Watkins picked up another prize last night as he was voted the Fanscore Fuller's Man of the Match from our 2-0 win over Birmingham City at St Andrew's
The attacking midfielder opened the scoring from the spot with 16 minutes to play, converting from the spot after substitute Neal Maupay had been felled inside the penalty area. The points were wrapped up ten minutes later as Maupay lashed home a loose ball from 15 yards to secure a third win in four on the road. For his goal Ollie picked up nearly 58 per cent of the vote with Maupay in second and Florian Jozefzoon back in third.
It was a high scoring week in the fans' league with eight supporters scoring 300 points or more. The big points totals were helped in no small part by the fact that 25 per cent of supporters correctly predicted Ollie as the first goal scorer. It was a three-way tie for the weekly win with Tony Rivers, bubbss6, and Callum Besant all scoring 325 points after getting the first goalscorer and full-time score/outcome correct.
Henry Ivey closed the gap at the top of the overall league table after scoring 275 points this week, cutting Mark Allerton's lead at the top by exactly 100 points. A gameweek score of 295 for cottreld1 moved them up to third, a further 64 points behind.
