David Titov shared his team's frustration after the final whistle blew on Brentford B's 3-0 defeat to AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
"We're disappointed," said David, speaking to iFollow at Jersey Road yesterday. "After the performance in Swansea, I thought we were ready to step up. Training looked good, everyone was up for it, but we came out and just couldn't seem to get a goal.
"I thought they were more clinical. They created a few more chances but they also managed to take a few of them."
Asked about the improved performance in the second half, David said: "We had the ball for the majority of it, we went to a back three and changed it up a bit. We just couldn't find that final pass to get us through on goal."
The B Team travel to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday to complete a trio of fixtures against Premier League opposition. David thinks it's a good chance to set the squad back on track.
"It's good because we don't want to give up. We still need a bit of time to figure out what we need to do and get back on a winning streak.
"It's good to mirror the First Team and play Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday. It means if you do go up to the First Team then you are ready for it. You know what is coming and your body is physically in shape for it."
David has enjoyed more game time this season and is encouraged by his own personal development.
"It's been great to become even more of a part of this team. I've had more game time and we're playing these big teams and getting good results at times. Also, to learn more new things about my game and progress."
Ahead of the next match, David thinks the team need to get closer as a unit.
"A talk is needed," said the 17-year-old. "We need to figure out what's missing and come together as a team and play good football again. We need to bond together and get it all going again."
