1 November 2017

Chris Mepham has been included in Rob Page's 18-man squad for Wales' 2019 UEFA Under-21 European Championship qualifying games against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania later this month.

Both matches take place at the Bangor University Stadium in Nantporth with Bosnia the opponents on Friday 10 November, kick-off 7pm, before Page's men take on Romania four days later, also a 7pm kick-off.

Chris missed Wales' win over Liechtenstein last month through suspension but did play the first two qualifiers against Switzerland and Portugal. The principality are currently fourth in Group 8 with six points from three matches, level with Bosnia but four points behind early group leaders Romania.

After coming through the ranks at Griffin Park, the 19-year-old made his Sky Bet Championship debut earlier this season against Derby County and followed that up with an assured performance on his full debut at Middlesbrough four days later. In total, Chris has made five appearances for Dean Smith's side and recently signed a new five-year deal with The Bees.
