Winger headed for France in Scotland's Toulon Tournament squad
Brentford’s new B Team signing Theo Archibald has earned himself a call-up to the Scottish Under-20 squad for their trip to France later this month to take part in the Toulon Tournament.
The prestigious festival of football is now in its 45th year. Theo will be a Celtic player for the three scheduled matches, as his transfer to Griffin Park will not be enacted until 10 June. The wide man made his debut for Brentford’s B Team in their show case game with Manchester City at Griffin Park this week, which attracted a crowd of almost 1,500.
Scotland Under-20s will face the Czech Republic on 31 May, Brazil on 3 June, and Indonesia on 6 June. The winners go through to the semi-finals, alongside the best runner-up in each of the three groups.
England is the current holder of the trophy after beating France 2-1 in last year’s final.
